“I support the minimum wage increase to $15 an hour”

Now more than ever, families across the country need access to good high paying jobs that will help them support their families and earn a fair wage. In Congress, I support the minimum wage increase to $15 an hour, introduced legislation that provides grants and funding opportunities to small businesses, as well as continuing the work to help expand renewable energy companies. 

In order to make sure our community is competitive in a changing workforce, I’ve introduced legislation that will help train our students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and various emerging sectors. I’ve also worked to expand pre-apprenticeship programs that will provide workers the tools they need to pursue new opportunities.
